Behold Your God — A Free Forerunner's Devotional Through Isaiah

The book of Isaiah has been the longest sitting of my reading life. I have spent more mornings in it than in any other book. I finally wrote down what I have been seeing.

Behold Your God is a 226-page devotional that walks Isaiah from the throne-room vision in chapter six through the new heavens and new earth of chapter sixty-six. Sixteen chapters. A Q&A appendix in the back for the questions that always come up. Roughly sixty-six thousand words.

It reads from inside the forerunner lane. The premise: the prophet’s first job is to see the Lord, the prophet’s second job is to be undone by the seeing, and the third job is to come back into the room and tell what he saw. The book tries to walk a reader through each of those three movements, slowly.

What’s in it

  • 16 chapters, each about 4,000 words, each tied to a specific Isaiah passage.
  • Cold-open scenes anchored in real mornings, real questions, real weariness.
  • A Q&A appendix that handles the most asked questions about the prophetic lane: how do you stay tender when you see hard things, what to do when the burden of the Lord goes quiet, how to read the messianic chapters without losing the people in front of you.
  • Italicized closing prayer at the end of every chapter. Pray them. They are written so they can carry you.

If it helps you

A review on Amazon or Goodreads carries the book further than I can carry it. The other place I welcome reviews is right here in the comments. Tell me which Isaiah chapter found you and what it asked of you.

I am one of you. I am praying for you.
